Theatre-in-the-round
TYPES OF THEATRE’S Theatre-in-the-round Actors perform in full view from all angles. Minimal scenery and limited space leave the audience to create with their imagination. STAGE Theatre-quarter theater STAGE Often an awkward arrangement because actors cannot use the front of the stage without alienating portions of the audience. Similar consequences as theatre-in-the-round.

TYPES OF THEATRE’S Two-sided theatre End stage theatre
Very few of these types of theatre’s still exist. This runway-like stage is used for combat and minimalist shows. All entrances and exits must be from the same side. STAGE End stage theatre This one of the most common spaces. It creates a box-like impression in which the actors are separated from the audience by the proscenium. There is plenty of room to hide the sets and costumes backstage. STAGE

TYPES OF THEATRE’S Thrust stage theatre PITLOCKRY HALL
This is another common arrangement for a theatre space. It, just like the end stage theatre, provides plenty of room backstage. However it, unlike the end stage, provides the actor the opportunity to get close up to the audience. STAGE PITLOCKRY HALL This is La Habra High School’s space. It was designed to be used as a Lecture Hall, not as a theatre, and that creates some interesting problems for a theatre performance. But it is a unique combination of an end-stage and a thrust stage, with no seats on the side STAGE
