ALL ABOUT DEFORESTATION.

Deforestation Deforestation, clearance or clearing is the removal of a forest or stand of trees where the land is thereafter converted to a non-forest use.[1]Examples of deforestation include conversion of forestland to farms, ranches, or urban use. About half of the world's original forests had been destroyed by 2011, the majority during the previous 50 years.[citation needed] Since 1990 half of the world's rain forests have been destroyed.[citation needed] More than half of the animal and plant species in the world live in tropical forests.[2] -Hussain.

Environmental problems
Deforestation is a contributor to global warming,[31][32] and is often cited as one of the major causes of the enhanced greenhouse effect. Tropical deforestation is responsible for approximately 20% of world greenhouse gas emissions.[33] According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change deforestation, mainly in tropical areas, could account for up to one-third of total anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions. -Vanniezeh.

Deforestation is one of the major problems of our world
Deforestation is one of the major problems of our world. Thousands of trees are cut everyday to make our necessities such as paper , furniture, and wood because of deforestation many problems occur such as global warming land slide and increases carbon dioxide to the environment. As we know only trees can provide oxygen and if trees are finished we would not survive. -Talha. DEFORESTATION.

The water cycle is also affected by deforestation. Trees extract groundwater through their roots and release it into the atmosphere. When part of a forest is removed, the trees no longer transpire this water, resulting in a much drier climate. Deforestation reduces the content of water in the soil and groundwater as well as atmospheric moisture. The dry soil leads to lower water intake for the trees to extract.[45] Deforestation reduces soil cohesion, so that erosion, flooding and landslides ensue.[46][47] -Hussain

CAUSES OF DEFORESTATION
CAUSES OF DEFORESTATION. When trees are cut down many animals and natives lose their homes and many even die. There is no rain and there is then decrease in oxygen and increase in carbon dioxide. Many organisms and insects get extinct and there are very less remaining. -Hamza

WHY DOES DEFORESTATION TAKE PLACE?
Many un- employed and under privileged people don’t have jobs. To earn a living they end up cutting down trees and causing deforestation. These people shouldn’t be blamed and the government should educate them and give them jobs so they don’t cause global warming as deforestation results in global warming. -Vanniezeh.
