How to Access e-Portal for My Personal Information?

Web pages and e-mail are the most popular means used for information distribution in CityU. On the CityU HomePage (http://www.cityu.edu.hk) you can find news and announcements for all users.http://www.cityu.edu.hk News and announcements for all users.

From the CityU HomePage, you can login e-Portal that offers you personalized access to electronic communication and resources necessary for your studies at CityU. e-Portal

During days of heavy usages e.g. Course Registration, Grade announcement, a web page with all essential services will temporary replace the e-Portal login page. At this time, you are encouraged to login the desired service directly with your Electronic ID and password instead of going through the e-Portal.

This is the e-Portal login page. You can log in with your electronic ID and password.

To change the password of your electronic ID, select the Change Password option. As your electronic ID and password are used to login e-Portal and e-mail, any changes will apply to both. Change Password

This is the page for changing the application password.

Besides changing your application password, you can select to change your password for network connection and personal web.

On the top you will see the different categories of services, namely, My Pipeline, My Courses, School Services, Campus Life and My Learning.

The e-mail link connects you to your CityU personal e-mail.

Make sure you read the personal announcements every day since they are messages from your department and the University.

Keep yourself in tune with what’s going on in the university by checking out campus news.

My Courses lists all courses that you are taking in a semester.

You can connect to web-based courses by clicking on the e-Course tool used by your lecturers.

Connections to subject-related Library resources are also provided here.

School Services provides access to systems and information that are important to your studies. AIMS is the system that you will use to add and drop courses, view your grades, and apply for lockers and student residence.

Facilities Booking helps you reserve sports facilities, venues, mobile and desktop computers.

Library Information and Resources helps you keep track of your Library book loan records and link to the Library Catalogue system.

Campus Life provides information on cultural and sports events. We encourage you to participate in these interesting activities.

You can also learn a new English word a day through the “A Word A Day” link.

Under “My Learning” you will find useful study tips and resources to help you maximize your learning.

Remember you MUST log out from the e-Portal after using it especially if you are using a public terminal, otherwise your portal information will be seen and can be misused by others!!

Email in CityU

You can get into CityU Email Services from the HomePage or from e-Portal.

Click onto Student Webmail to get to your mailbox.

If you have already logon to the e-Portal, click on e-mail to access your mailbox.

This is the WebMail login page. If you need help, click one of the links on the left.

Change If you want to change your email account settings (such as password, email forwarding or email alias), visit the CityU Email Services link.

Email forwarding is very useful for easy management of your emails. If you already have other email accounts, you can forward mails from your university email account to your personal email accounts.
