5. Group Task
Students will be divided into five different groups that will represent the five different oceans
Each group will research their assigned ocean and report on:
Where the ocean is located
Animal Life
Plant Life
Students will Report their findings in front of the class and answer any questions other students may have

6. Group Roles
Ocean Locator: This student will research where this ocean is located, what continents surround it, how large it is, and what oceans can be used for (transportation, food, water, etc.). Include an interesting fact.
Animal Life: This student will research five different types of animals that live in the ocean, what does each animal eat, where does this animal live, does it have any interesting characteristics. Include an interesting fact.
Plant Life: This student will research five different types of plants grow in the ocean, name a popular ocean reefs, where do these plants grow, and what kinds of animals eat these plants. Include an interesting fact.

7. Individual Task and Evaluation
Each student will now use their imagination to create a new ocean animal
Each student will draw a picture of their made up animal
Each Student create a conceptual map on popplet.com on their made up animal to include:
Where does it live
What does it eat
Other characteristics (at least 10)
Each student will made a wordle describing

8. Conclusion
CONGRATUALTIONS! As a class, you have all discovered the five different oceans, what kinds of animals live in the oceans, and what kinds of plants grow in the ocean

9. Extensions Field trip to an aquarium to explore animals and plants
Class pet: fish/sea life in classroom to learn how to care for a fish or plant to watch it grow
Make a prezi on their favorite ocean to discover more information about the ocean
Make individual Wordle describing ocean life
Find the oceans with Google earth to track the migration of ocean animals
