Mandatory Report Court Hearing NT Families and Children visit your home YOU NEED HELP TO SORT OUT Contact CAALAS as soon as possible CHILDRENFIRSTCHILDRENFIRST * You must come to court or an Order will be made without you having a say! NTFC ask you to sign an agreement Child/ren placed in foster care NTFC develop a Cultural Care Plan; May involve Long Term Court Order Your lawyer asks for MORE TIME to make up a Parenting Plan Children in short term Foster Care NOTIFICATION Go to Court Talk with your lawyer about Family wishes Your Lawyer tells your story for you NTFC put forward a report Judge will hear both sides Mention in court You may need to be at court, lawyer will advise you Judge assesses if an order is required, or requests more information SORTED More mediation (inter-agency) For more information, call CAALAS on 8950 9300 or FreeCall 1800 636 079 (NT Landlines only) Judge decides if there is need to draw up an Order, or if existing Order needs to be changed FAMILY LAWYER will try and keep kids with Aboriginal family Mediation with all parties NTFC Interim Order Final/Interim Order Inter-agency discussion Children returned to own Family
