3. Is it a testable question???
Testable questions ask about objects, organisms, and events in the natural world.
For example: questions involving things like plants, animals, humans, weather patterns etc.
They do NOT talk about supernatural phenomena or fictional beings.

Testable questions relate to scientific ideas rather than personal preference or moral values.
For example: most watched television show, NOT favorite television show.

12. Can you write a testable question???
Think of something that you are curious about and would like to learn more about. (What do you wonder?!)
Write a TESTABLE question that addresses this curiosity.
It MUST meet ALL of our criteria (see next slide).

14. Pass to a Partner...
Have your partner edit your question. They should write “testable” or “not testable” on your paper.
If it is “not testable” you should work together to make it better.
