History of Airbus A380. The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine jet airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, a subsidiary of EADS. It is the world's largest passenger airliner and, due to its size, many airports have had to expand their facilities to properly accommodate it. Designed to challenge Boeing's monopoly in the large-aircraft market, the A380 made its initial flight on 27 April 2005 and entered initial commercial service in October 2007 with Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development, before receiving the A380 designation.

Airbus A380 characteristics. The A380-800 original configuration carried 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or 853 passengers (538 on the main deck and 315 on the upper deck) in a single-class economy configuration. Capable of flying from Hong Kong to New York or from Sydney to Istanbul non-stop. lack of engine noise—it's 50% quieter than a 747-400 on takeoff. The A380 is so big it's difficult to sense its speed, and its upper deck is so far away from the engines the noise dissipates.

How long it takes an A 380 to takeoff? It takes A 380 78 seconds to take off What is the takeoff velocity? It need 6084 meters to take off but for safety the run way would be longer than this. The velocity is 280 km/hour – 170mph What is the takeoff distance the runway length that will be crossed before it takes off?
