The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870,New York City.
The founders included businessmen and financiers, as well as leading artists.

3. What is it Today? Today most people in New York call it the Met.
As of 2012 the Met occupies 2 million square feet.
Is the largest art museum in the US, and one of the top 10 largest art museums in the world.

4. What Does it Have? Has sculptures from many European artists.
Art works from the classical period and Ancient Egypt.
Extensive collection of American art.

5. Reflection
The Metropolitan Art Museum is a great museum that has beautiful pieces of artwork. I will hopefully have the chance to go there one day myself.
