1 Library Catalog and Education Finding Books in the IWU Library Catalog

2 Click here Either of the first 2 links will take you to the library catalog. We will look at the first link, Library Catalog.

3 Select the kind of search you want to do, e.g. author title, subject or keyword, etc.

4 Let’s do a subject search. Type in your subject, e.g. reading comprehension. Click on Search

5 Click on the appropriate topic for your research. Let’s click on: Reading comprehension

6 Link on a title that you may be interested in using, e.g. #1, Building reading comprehension habits in grades 6-12.

7 This displays the full citation, giving bibliographic information, call number, availability, subject headings, and other kinds of options from the top toolbar.

8 If you decide you want this book… You can request any that you might want you want Let’s try it out…

9 Postal delivery is your best option to use. We do not have courier service to the regional locations. We mail the items via first class mail within the United States. At this time we are not equipped to mail out of country, but the NetLibrary books may be useful for you.

10 Using the Advanced Catalog search from the main OCLS home page, allows searching a combination of terms, locations, or formats.

11 Using the keyword search, sometimes allows you to retrieve books when the author, title or subject search doesn’t retrieve what you want. Click on this Submit button

13 Let’s say you wanted only ebooks. Use the Advanced Catalog Search again. Type in: reading comprehension. Then beside, Material Type, select eBooks/ejournals Click on SUMBIT

14 You have retrieved only the ebooks available from the catalog. Let’s click on the second one.

15 By taking the link, An electronic book accessible… you can link to the ebook.

16 If you have previously registered with NetLibrary, then you can Log In and proceed to vie the entire book.
