Cisco Confidential 4 Mobile devices can retrieve service advertisements from over a Wi-Fi infrastructure using the Mobility Services Advertisement Protocol. The MSE now has the ability to provide MSAP server functionality for an MSAP service. MSAP facilitates mobile devices to discover network based services available in a local network or through service providers. MSAP provides service advertisements that describe available services to the mobile devices. Once the mobile device receives the service advertisement, it displays an icon on its user interface. The user can then click on the icon and launch the advertised service.

NCS also configures the MSE MSAP Service Engine. Mobile devices use the beacons to identify the MSAP capable Wi-Fi networks and connect to MSAP Server to retrieve the service advertisements. Typical Mobile devices are iPhone or Android based phone, Netbook, or a Tablet. Single Venue Deployment Example
