TASK 1 In this task, you will demonstrate your understanding of the purpose of concept art for video games. You are employed by War of Art Games who require a presentation of an ‘ezine’ with the use of a Weebly website. With this task you will be able to show War of Art Games that you are able to identify what is essential to bring ideas into a visual format. In the ezine you will expand and elucidate on the following aspects: Examples: game publishers’ websites; textbooks; journals and magazines Purpose: visualisation of concepts; visual communication of ideas, eg visual elements, style, mood, look, feel, colour schemes; storyboards All the above sections will be completed individually. For this task, you will present your findings in a PowerPoint/Prezi presentation and print out your ezine to be marked as well. You will describe the purpose of concept art for games with some appropriate use of subject terminology

AIMS By the end of this task you must have the following: Create 2 x sheet of character designs Use the templates provided to trace off, using your own designs to create characters for your game Create 1 x sheet of weaponry designs Create an assortment of weapons to be used in the game. Create 2 x sheets of environment designs Create the environment designs, using the character designs you have created and position in your environment. One should feature the character in a vehicle and one should feature a character with weaponry. Upload to your website under the title ‘Task 2’ ready for assessment. TASK 3 In this task you will be taught anatomy, environment and object concept art for computer games. You will then scan and upload work to your Weebly website. You will also print out work and file into a portfolio of your work, for which you will be assessed. In this task you will undertake the following:

TASK 3 All the above sections will be completed individually. You will draw anatomy, environment and object concept artwork for computer games to near-professional standards, showing creativity and flair and working independently to professional expectations.
