2 Thomas Sutcliffe, Centre 18129, 16/01/2007 SIGNIFICANT MOMENTS Listening to Albinoni’s Adagio as a young boy (my introduction to classical music) Attending a live performance for the first time, as a teenager Getting my first CD Player, as a teenager Experiencing a live performance of Barbara Strozzi’s work in Highgate, my first experience of a serious departure from the classical mainstream. Using music to help myself get a better degree – listening to CDs the whole time I was typing up my dissertation – Albinoni again.
