Plate boundary project

Instructions Today you will be making plans to make a power point project over tectonic plate boundaries. You will need to include a title slide and a slide for each boundary type. Title slide = 10 points Boundary 1 slide = 30 points Boundary 2 slide = 30 points Boundary 3 slide = 30 points for a total of 100

Boundary Slide Format: Definition Landforms made by the boundary A description of what happens at this boundary A picture of the boundary type An example of a mountain, a volcanic eruption, or an earthquake. A historical event that took place at this type of boundary.

References You will need to include a slide for references. You need to show where you got the information you put in your project. Pictures from the internet can be sited in your references by copying and pasting the web address.

Instructions continued… We will have one day to plan our projects out on paper. The next class period we go to the computer lab to put the project together. Use your time wisely, you will only have ONE day in the computer lab to do this! Since your time is limited, please do your project in black and white like this first and get all of your information on it. You may change the font, color, and background after you have completed the required information.

Transform boundary Definition: when two plates slide past each other Landforms at this boundary: fault lines and oceanic fracture zones. Description: two tectonic plates slide past each other in opposite directions. Example: California's San Andreas FaultCaliforniaSan Andreas Fault Historical event: San Francisco earthquake of 1904.
