When I change the slide, don’t complain, just begin answering the new question. You do not need to write the questions from the slides, just the question number.

Recall, Retell and Explain 9. What is the story that George always tells Lennie? Why is this so important to the two of them?

Make a Comparison 10. How is the death of Candy’s dog related to Lennie’s death?

Think about it… 11. Why doesn’t Curley’s wife have a name? How would the novel be different if we knew her name was Elizabeth (or if we knew her name at all…)?

Use your brain 12.What is one theme from Of Mice and Men? Remember, a theme is the main idea or message. What is it that John Steinbeck wanted us to learn from the story? Don’t forget, a theme is a statement, not just one word. “Love” is not a theme. Neither is “Friendship” “Don’t trust pretty girls with mean husbands” isn’t a very good theme either.
