Juliette Magill Kinzie Gordon was born on Halloween of 1860 to Nellie and William Gordon. She had 5 siblings It’s a girl!

She and her cousins started an organization called “The Helping Hands” they sewed clothes for the poor Nicknamed Daisy by her uncle

Went to many boarding schools in Virginia and New York.

Married to William Low on December 26 th, 1886 Had no children Husband died just before their divorce

18 girls formed first to Girl Scout troops Quote- “I’ve got something for the girl in Savannah and all of America and all of the world, and we’re going to start tonight,” she said to a distant friend.

June 1913- National Office opened in Washington, D.C. 1916- moved Headquarters from D.C to New York City Served as president of GS from 1915- 1920

Juliette Gordon Low died on January 27, 1927 at age 66 from cancer

On October 28, 1979 Juliette Low was inducted into the National Woman’s Hall of Fame in Seneca, NY.

1992- Daisy was honored as one of the first Georgia Woman of Achievement
