7. Decorations and Wall Murals Detailed paintings covered the walls and ceilings of the underground tombs, documenting the life of the deceased and imagining the journey to the afterworld.

10. Shabtis Wealthy Egyptians wanted to have servants in their next life. Since they couldn’t take their living servants with them, they made little servant statues to be buried with them. Egyptians believed the shabtis would come to life and go to work for them in their next life.
