3 INTERESTS  How healthy is Humboldt County  Is the Humboldt State community aware of the Paleo Diet  What are the benefits of the Paleo Diet and home cooked meals  Why is this important  How will I be able to share my information now and in the future

4 WHY  Obesity Rate The obesity rate in Humboldt is 23.7%, compared to the national average of 35.7%.  From the 100 random participants at HSU, people rate themselves on an average of 3.5 out of 5 on how healthy they think they are.  The rated knowledge of the Paleo Diet was only 2 out of 5. http://county-food.findthedata.org/l/196/Humboldt Survey Data

5 WHAT WAS DONE  A survey was created and distributed around the Humboldt State campus to 100 random participants.  This survey had a series of questions relating to health, cooking, and diet, with a rating system from 0-5 with 0 being none and 5 being the highest.

6 WHAT WAS FOUND  On Average with the rating of 0-5 Knowledge of the Paleo diet = 1.94 How healthy are you = 3.48 Do you like recipes = 3.98 Do you like cooking and/or baking = 3.915 Would you like to know more on these topics = 3.88 And lastly, 88% of the participants wanted to be contacted to know more!
