3. In a habitat, animals can find the food, homes, and water they need to live. Different plants also need different habitats to live in. Each habitat has its own kind of soil.

A food chain is a model of how living things get the food they need. Most food chains start with the sun!

6. Predators and Prey
Animals can eat plants or other animals. An animal that hunts another animal for food is called a predator. Animals that are hunted by predators are called prey.
