I couldn't sleep, despite being very tired. IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT/ DESPITE THE FACT THAT ► CLAUSE Despite the fact that it was raining, we enjoyed our vacation. In spite of the fact that it was raining, we enjoyed our vacation.
