2. What is Storybird? Storybird is an online visual storytelling tool. Students use Storybird’s beautiful, original artwork as “prompts” students create their own stories and poems.

3. How Do I Get Started? Go to the Findley Oaks Media Center Web Site http://findleyoaksmediacenter.weebly.com/

4. Click on More; Then on Tech Toolbox

5. Go to the Visual Storytelling Section

6. Click on the Link for Storybird

7. Click On: Sign In

8. Enter Username: Enter Password: Click on Sign In

9. Click on Create

10. Pick Your Art Prompt… Option #1--Click on a Category Tag

11. Pick Your Art Prompt… Option #2—Use the Search Box to Search for a Topic

12. Select Your Art Prompt Click on Use This Art

13. Select Your Art Prompt Select For a Story or For a Poem

14. Type Your Story in the Text Box

15. Click on Save

16. Make the Cover Select Art for the Cover/Type in the Title/Type in Your First Name

17. Click on Save

18. Add More Pages…

19. All Done? Click on More, Then Publish

20. Now Try Writing a Poem Select Your Art Prompt, Then For a Poem

21. Drag the Words to Create a Poem

22. All Done? Click on Menu, Then Publish

23. Wait! How Do I Go Back and Look at My Work? Click on You, Then Your Stuff

24. Don’t Forget… Log Out!
