What is Storybird? Storybird is an online visual storytelling tool. Students use Storybird’s beautiful, original artwork as “prompts” students create their own stories and poems.

How Do I Get Started? Go to the Findley Oaks Media Center Web Site http://findleyoaksmediacenter.weebly.com/

Click on More; Then on Tech Toolbox

Go to the Visual Storytelling Section

Click on the Link for Storybird

Click On: Sign In

Enter Username: Enter Password: Click on Sign In

Click on Create

Pick Your Art Prompt… Option #1--Click on a Category Tag

Pick Your Art Prompt… Option #2—Use the Search Box to Search for a Topic

Select Your Art Prompt Click on Use This Art

Select Your Art Prompt Select For a Story or For a Poem

Type Your Story in the Text Box

Click on Save

Make the Cover Select Art for the Cover/Type in the Title/Type in Your First Name

Click on Save

Add More Pages…

All Done? Click on More, Then Publish

Now Try Writing a Poem Select Your Art Prompt, Then For a Poem

Drag the Words to Create a Poem

All Done? Click on Menu, Then Publish

Wait! How Do I Go Back and Look at My Work? Click on You, Then Your Stuff
