GEORGE PULLMAN PULLMAN DESIGNED THE SLEEPER CAR THAT ALLOWED FOR MORE COMFORTABLE TRAVEL ON THE RAILROAD HE DESIGNED A COMMUNITY BUILT SOLELY AROUND HIS FACTORY AND PROVIDED HOUSING AND OTHER AMMENITIES. THIS WAS IN AN EFFORT TO CURE LABOR UNREST.
