MESA LAB Conclusion Improved the performance of the industrial multicomponent distillation column by upgrading OF temperature control The upgrade includes: –retuning the existing control loop and realizing it in IMC form with anti-windup protection –adding a nearly-linear single-load dynamic temperature set-point compensator which amounts to a PI loop –accompanying the design with conventional-like tuning guidelines underlain by a robust stability criterion drawn from advanced control theory –enabling a gradual transition from the old to the new control scheme. 04/21/2014 AFC Workshop Series @ MESALAB @ UCMerced Slide-12/1024
