Recommendations Breakdown Recommendations: Manage for “Main Street” Availability – City Council o Amend the Parking Ordinance to remove language that is no longer necessary o Shift decision making power to the Board of Public Works and Safety o Eliminate the graduated fine structure – 1 st ticket is Free any subsequent ticket is $50 o Better parking signage and parking maps of Downtown with parking identified Continue & Expand Employee Permit Parking – Redevelopment Commission & Police Department o Align the surface lot pricing and the garage pricing Improve Garage Management – Redevelopment Commission o Lower the gates in both Garages o Eliminate designated parking spaces in the JSPG o Oversell the JSPG to visitors/customers downtown (pay as you park with no time limits) Review Cummins Transportation and Implement TDM Measures – Cummins
