Key Events Poster Create a poster on ONE of the key events in Black history Each poster MUST address each of the following questions in complete sentences or bullet points: What happened? When did it happen? Who was involved? What is the significance of this event? How has this event affected us today? Each poster must have visuals, text, be CREATIVE and visually appealing You will have 25 minutes to create your poster Don’t Forget to write the Name, Date & Event # on the TOP of your poster!!!

Gallery Walk/Key Events Timeline You will have 15 minutes to travel to each poster and complete each event on the timeline At the end of the 25 minutes, ONE person from each group will remain at the poster and present to the class as they engage in the Gallery Walk Be ready to present and NOT just read from the poster Be prepared to answer questions

Ferguson case 1909 – Creation of the NAACP 1954 – 1968 Modern Day Civil Rights Movement 1968 – Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2008 – Barack Obama elected first African American President of the United States Don’t Forget to write the Name, Date & Event # on the TOP of your poster!!!
