3 The difference between the rich and poor or middle class. #1 The poor and middle-class trade their time or money. The rich use their time to create assets that will provide continuing past the income. #2 The middle-class say, "it cannot be done" (meaning I do not think I can do it)-the rich ask "how can it be done?". #3 The middle-class think month-to-month (when they get paid) the rich think five years ahead. #4 The poor and middle class feel they have no control over the taxes they pay, the rich know they can control the taxes they pay, and arrange their activities accordingly. #5 The middle class invest in the stock market and paper assets through their 401(k)s and IRAs because that is what the company puts their money into. The rich also invest in businesses and real estate.

4 The difference between the rich, and poor or middle class. #6 The poor and middle class pay interest-the rich gain interest. #7 The poor and middle class have no interest in learning about money, economics, numbers, or financial education. The rich make it their business to learn more about how money, corporate entities, and taxes work. #8 The middle class have middle-class friends and talk about other people as in people magazine, TV, their job and pay, etc. the rich talk with rich friends and talk about net worth, taxis, and business ideas and strategies. #9 The middle class say investments are risky, the rich think, "How do I reduce the risk to an acceptable level". #10 The rich work at home and read-often about business and related items -- the poor and middle-class do not, that is why large homes have offices and libraries and small homes do not.

5 The difference between the rich, and poor or middle class. #11 The poor and middle class have one or two sources of income-the rich have multiple sources of income. #12 The poor and middle-class hope their boss will give them a raise -- the rich concentrate on taking actions to increase their net worth. #13 The poor ask questions that keep them poor such as, "How can I get a 10% raise", or "Do I get benefits with this job?". The rich ask empowering questions such as "What do I need to learn to reduce the risk in this deal so I will give positive income (cash flow)?” #14 The poor and middle-class do what they are told. The rich do what they enjoy. This is why they often work harder than the middle-class. #15 The poor and middle class see money as survival. The rich see money as a scorecard of how well they are playing the game.

6 The difference between the rich, and poor or middle class. #16 The poor and middle class either work for someone else or, less often, work for themselves. The rich have money and others work for them. #17 The poor and middle class have no leverage (one hours work for one hour's pay). The rich use leverage to increase their income. #18 The wealthy are often obsessed with an idea or mission in life. The poor and middle class have no obsession or direction in life. #19 Poor and middle-class avoid the negative feelings of failure by not trying anything they don't think they can accomplish. The rich will reduce the chance of risk and failure as much as possible but they'll act in spite of the possibility of failure and can learn from failure when it occurs. #20 The middle class of poor sales. The rich know they are the best salesperson for their company or project, and strive to be good at it.
