5 The United States House of Representatives is called “The Lower House”

6 Qualifications to be a United States Representatives Age: 25 years old Citizenship: 7 years Representatives must be a resident of the state that elected them

7 Representatives are sometimes called “Congressmen”

8 How long are Representatives elected for? Two years The number of representatives is based on population.

9 Total Number of Representatives is_________. Virginia has 11 representatives. California has 52. Rhode Island has 2.

11 The Leader of the House of Representatives is called: The Speaker of the House John Boehner is the current Speaker of the House. If the President and Vice-President can not serve, the Speaker of the House becomes the President.
