1 usiness cademy in Levice was established in 1967 and since then it has been preparing secondary – school qualified cadres primarily for our economy. Education at our school lasts for four years and it is finished with a leaving exam. usiness cademy in Levice was established in 1967 and since then it has been preparing secondary – school qualified cadres primarily for our economy. 2 - Banking, - Management, - Computering, - Mathematics, - Aplicated economy, - Marketing, - Conversation in foreign languages. Business academy has thirteen classes and 429 students aged 14 - 18. All the students of the first and the second forms have the same subjects. At the end of the second form they decide about their future specialization and they can choose elective subjects. The elective subjects are following: - Banking, - Management, - Computering, - Mathematics, - Aplicated economy, - Marketing, - Conversation in foreign languages.

3 The profile of the school leaver of Business Academy form his knowledge, skill and practical habits in the specialized economic subjects: - Economics, - Accounting, - Computer science, - Statistics, - Technics of paperwork, - Law study. Students of the third and fourth forms take part in two weeks professional training in some of the state or private enterprises or tax offices of our region. The professional training enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge directly in the practice.

4 Languages  Students of our school can choose from four languages to study: English, German, French and Spanish.  They study two languages and at the end of their study they can use all four language skills - reading and listening comprehension, speaking and writing.  The language teachers lead the students to be communicative in foreign languages.  Every year the students take part in Language Olympiad, they achieve very good results in these language competitions.

5  Equipment  Our school is equipped with the modern computer technique. We have been involved in different internet projects. We have been involved in different internet projects.  The students use the computer net compatible with IBM with 20 workplaces.  The school has two special classrooms for teaching economic exercises, accounting and other economic subjects.  Three other special classrooms are used for teaching technics of paperwork and economic correspondence, where they have electronic typewriters.

6 …Competitions…  Students of our school take part in different competitions in the artistic presentation of poetry and prose, literary competitions organized by Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic and "Matica slovenská".  Every year our students take part in different competitions in typewriting with traditionally good results. Secondary School Specialized Activity (SOČ) The aim of these activities is to develop the intellect of students over the limit of knowledge requested by educational curriculum. Reserchers of the topics of SOČ with help of the teachers try to solve the economic, language, historical and other questions of economic and social life of our society.

7 other activities … Drama group We have also Drama group which prepares the short plays and other interesting cultural programmes for students. "Ekonómka" The school choir called "Ekonómka" is very popular among students.Sport Sport belongs to favourite activities of our students. They take a part in skiing and swimming courses, in different athletics competitions, volleyball and basketball tournaments and they are successful.
