History of Serbian money 1214- The first mention of a "Serbian dinar“ (Stefan Nemanjić- Stephan the First Crowned); King Radoslav (1227-1234)-the first Serbian ruler to mint coins; Mints were located near numerous silver mines such as: Brskovo, Rudnik, Novo Brdo, Srebrenica, Trepča, etc; Serbian Dinar coins were minted by many of the Serbian rulers until the fall of Stefan Lazarević in 1459 (the fall of the Serbian Despotate to the Ottomans ).

History of Serbian money 1918-Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes: they used Serbian dinar and krone in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1 dinar = 4 kronen) 1920-The first coins and banknotes with the name of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes were issued 1929- the Kingdom of Yugoslavia ->this reflected on the currency.
