lesson objectives: In this lesson you will learn what an angle of elevation and an angle of depression is. You will also learn how solve problems involving angles of elevation and depression.

Angle of elevation- the angle formed by a horizontal line and a line of sight to a point above the line. Angle of depression- is the angle formed by horizontal line and a line of sight to a point below the line.
