3. © clark 2010 Assisted LivingAssisted Living Expanding the Horizons of Medicine Assisted Living Assisted living residences or assisted living facilities (ALFs) provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs); coordination of services by outside health care providers; and monitoring of resident activities to help to ensure their health, safety, and well-being. Assistance can include the administration or supervision of medication, or personal care services provided by a trained staff person. Continuing care retirement facilities combine independent living, assisted living, and nursing care in one facility.

These records, if the Physician is not part of the MEDISCRIBEMEDISCRIBE © System, can be provided to the Facility in either paper or electronic form. MEDISCRIBEMEDISCRIBE © will convert these records into a searchable database in which the Facility is able to use.

Then the “Assisted Living” section is chosen and the Attending Physician will enter the appropriate Facility that will be authorized to access the Patient’s information.

Then the “Assisted Living” section is chosen and the Attending Physician will enter the appropriate Facility that will be authorized to access the Patient’s information. MEDISCRIBE It is important to note that the Admitting Physician who belongs to the MEDISCRIBE © System and will have the Patient records in the System. If the Patient’s Attending Physician is not part of the System the Patient need only request a copy of their medical files and provide them to the Facility.

That means that there is NO information that on any public system and it meets all HIPPA and accreditation standards for information protection requirements.

Then the Facility can monitor the health of the Patient and the authorized staff will be able to record the progress, changes, or problems by simply “clicking” on the PATIENT section.

With the databases that are available the DEPARTMENT will be able to review the types and ages of the Patients served, methods used to assess and meet patients’ needs, scope and complexity of patients’ need, clinical necessity and timeliness of support, availability of necessary staff, the scope of service for non- patient care, etc.
