What Is It? Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most prevalent in the endocrine system. 7 out of 10 women get it. PCOS is a hormonal disorder in the reproductive age, and women can get PCOS from the ages 15-45. PCOS causes women to have both women and male hormones, but mostly male.

How Do You Get It? Several doctor’s have been trying to find the answer to what causes PCOS. Till this day they still do not know what causes it. They are guessing it’s caused by both genetics. If your mom or sister has PCOS you will get it to!

What Happens To The System? The endocrine system with PCOS affects the menstrual cycle, fertility, hormones, insulin product, circulatory system and appearance. Women would get hair on their face, feet, hands, neck, back, and stomach.

Does Your Body Try To Fix Itself? Your body does not help you get rid of this at all. PCOS has to way to help it is a hereditary which means it runs in the family.

What Medicines Do You Need To Take? You would need to take birth control so you don’t get pregnant and send it on to another baby. Or you could get a vaginal ring.

Is It Curable? As much as a women hates it PCOS is not curable. You would have it follow you for the rest of your life. That’s why if you have PCOS you don’t want to get pregnant because you can mess up a child's life.
