Andrew Jackson was born on March 15 th 1767 in a community of Scotch-Irish immigrants, along the border between North and South Carolina. He is the child of Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth Hutchinson, with two brothers Hugh born in 1763 and Robert born in 1764

Andrew Jackson was the United States of America’s seventh president. As our president he was very big on reflecting on individualism. Internal improvements he did not support, such as canals and roads. Andrew Jackson is a Democrat so that means he was a Democratic president. In the year 1821 Andrew Jackson happened to be our Military Governor in the state of Florida.

Throughout Jackson’s life he was very tough, not only to me but to many others. Since many people thought he was tough he got the nickname of “Old Hickory”. Andrew Jackson was our first president to be primarily associated with the frontier. In 1833 a democratic cartoon shows Jackson destroying the Devil’s Bank. Jackson was our president from the year 1829 to the year 1837.

The Revolutionary War had ended the rest of the Jackson family, Hugh Andrew’s brother had died in Stono Ferry of a heatstroke in 1781. Shortly after both Andrew and Robert had smallpox, Robert had died from that. A little later on Jackson’s mother had fell ill and died. His father had died three weeks before Andrew was born caused by an accident. So unfortunately Jackson’s family died, he had really showed perseverance through it. I think that quote means, that we are on this Earth and while we are here we mine as well make something good out of it.

I compare Andrew Jackson to Thomas Edison. However they are both completely different people I compare them because both of them never stopped trying they persevered and went through the difficulties of never giving up. Thomas Edison tried to invent the light bulb he failed 1,000 times. Andrew Jackson went through a very rough childhood but then he didn’t stop trying to be someone important in this world. He never gave up, although he had no family that did no affect him from trying to be the president. Thomas Edison Andrew Jackson Famous quotes.

Andrew got married to a wonderful lady with the name of Rachel Jackson. They had no children but had adopted one child, Rachel’s nephew and they named him Andrew Jackson, Jr. Andrew had many pets. He had horses with the names of Truxton, Sam Patches, Emily, Lady Nashville, and Bolivia and Pol the parrot. Andrew Jackson had died on June 8 th, 1845 at age 78 in Hermitage in Nashville, Tennessee.

Summarization So as we come to an end, you have probably realized that Andrew Jackson has persevered throughout his lifetime. Either if it’s surviving form smallpox or having his whole family dying during the time of the Revolutionary War. For this presentation I chose Andrew Jackson because I was very surprised about how he had a very tough childhood, including barely any schooling and became a very well American president for our country.
