2 What is ADDIE??

3 Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation
According to Learning-Theories.com… ADDIE is a systematic model for instructional design consisting of five different phases that make up the acronym. Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluation

4

5 Analysis A systematic exploration of the way things are and the way things are no the way things should be the difference is the performance gap.

6 Analysis Many questions are explored in this phase of the process:
Purpose? Audience? What do they need to learn? What are the delivery options? What constraints exist? What is the timeline for project completion?

7 Design The systematic method of research, planning, developing, evaluating, and managing an instructional process. This phase must attain a specific goal. There are three functions: Identifying the outcomes of the instruction. Developing the instruction. Evaluating the effectiveness of the instruction.

8 Design Five things to consider in the design phase:
What are the objectives What skills, knowledge, and attitudes are being developed What resources and strategies will be used How will the content of the learning material be structured How will the learner’s understanding be assed Have the objectives been met

9 Development This phase addresses the tools used to create instructional material and is a detailed plan that lists step-by-step procedures, time schedules, deadlines. It is the process of producing the materials needed to meet the goals and objectives.

10 Development A list of activities should be produced
Choose a delivery method: Video PowerPoint Lecture Notes Review material Develop the instructional coursework.

11 Implement The instruction and/or materials are described to the learners in this phase. The necessary tools to fix instructional challenges and learning difficulties should be at hand.

12 Implement Establish a timeline Final product should be delivered
Prepare the learning environment Prepare the audience

13 Evaluate A systematic process that determines the effectiveness of the instructional design. Evaluation is an ongoing process within the ADDIE model

14 Evaluate Analyze and evaluate each phase to make sure each goal has been accomplished. Having external evaluations will make sure that the information is being used properly. Revise the training system to make it better.
