2.  There are many different kinds of barriers in the communication process.  The three main barriers that we will be discussing are; Semantic, Emotional, and Personal barriers.

3. -What Semantic barriers refer to is the specific meaning of a word. -To avoid Semantic barriers the sender must use a word that the receiver will understand in the same manner.

4.  Emotional barriers are something's that gets in the way of your relationship with another person based on you not trusting them for some reason.  In order to overcome emotional barriers, therapy is highly recommended.

5.  Personal barriers are based on the beliefs and outlooks of a person.  If a person has a negative worldview, for instance, then all communications that occurs will be flattered.

6.  A “communication barrier” or a “barrier to communication” is anything that interferes with the transfer of intended information from a sender to a receiver. This can include anything from static on a radio, preventing the listener from hearing the program, to a third party interfering in a conversation between two people.
