Using this worksheet packet you will apply the theme, Underdog/Man versus Society, to both books together. You will create a power point presentation in which you explore: how the books combined to address the theme of the assignment. relevance of the books to the time period they were written in. (Late 1930’s to 1960’s, Great Depression, WWII, Cold War, the “60’s”) relevance of the books to our society today. Your final PowerPoint presentation should include: 1. a thesis/introductory slide 2. 4-6 slides addressing the application of theme to the novels. 3.
