Prime and Bond ® NT ™ & TPH ® 3, Class I, II, IV, Facial Veneers, & Diastema Closures Material: Prime and Bond NT with TPH3 Title: A Clinical Evaluation of a New Anterior Composite Study (TPH3) Principle Investigator: Dr. James Dunn Type of Restoration: Class I, II, IV, facial veneers, and diastema closures 18 Month Results: 18 Patients; 33 Restorations; (% alpha— highest rating): Retention (97%), Sentsitivity (100%), Anatomic Form (100%), Color Match (75%), Marginal Adaptation (97%), Marginal Discoloration (100%), Surface Staining (100%), Secondary Caries (100%) Summary: The 18 month evaluation results indicated that all restorations evaluated had excellent surface stain rating, high retention, and no secondary caries. The color match was unchanged from baseline (Note: limited shades were available at placement, resulting in lower color match results). Based on the findings of this study, the “TPH3” micro- hybrid composite is a good choice for anterior or posterior restorations. 33 restorations, 18 month results

Prime and Bond ® NT ™ & Esthet-X ®, Class I, II, III, IV, V and Facial Veneers Material: Prime and Bond NT with Esthet-X Title: A Clinical Evaluation of R-30 (Esthet- X) Composite Restorative Material Principle Investigator: Drs. Douglas M. Barnes and David L. George Type of Restoration: Class I, II, III, IV, V and facial veneers 1-Year Results: 26 Patients; 26 Restorations; (% alpha— highest rating): Retention (100%), Sensitivity (100%), Anatomic Form (96%), Marginal Integrity (96%), Marginal Discoloration (96%), Secondary Caries (100%). Summary: The new composite material provides the greatest benefit with respect to esthetic restorations allowing for achievement of highly characterized life-like restorations with high luster. 26 restorations, 1-year results

Prime and Bond ® NT ™ & Esthet-X ®, Class I, II, III, IV, V and Facial Veneers Material: Prime and Bond ® NT ™ with Esthet-X ® Title: A Clinical Evaluation of a New Composite Resin Formulation Principle Investigator: Dr. James Dunn Type of Restoration: Class I, II, III, IV, V and facial veneers 3-Year Results: 25 Patients; 27 Restorations; (% alpha— highest rating): Retention (100%), Sensitivity (100%), Anatomic Form (89%), Marginal Adaptation (85%), Marginal Discoloration (81%), Secondary Caries (100%), Polishability (85%); Gingival Index (0-Normal) Summary: The three-year results indicate that all restorations evaluated had excellent marginal adaptation, lack of secondary caries, and excellent anatomical form. The color match remained the same over the evaluation period. All restorations were found to be clinically acceptable. 27 restorations, 3-year results

Prime and Bond ® NT ™ & Esthet-X ® Flow Class I Material: Prime and Bond ® NT™ and Esthet-X ® Flow Title: Clinical evaluation of three flowable composite resins in occlusal cavity preparations. Principle Investigator: Drs. John O. Burgess Type of Restorations: Class I 1-year Results: Esthet-X Flow: 21 Patients, 30 Restorations (% alpha—highest rating): Retention rate (100%), Anatomic Form (100%), Color Match (97%), Marginal Adaptation (83%), Marginal Discoloration (97%), Polish (80%), and Secondary Caries (100%). Tetric Flow: 21 Patients, 29 Restorations (% alpha—highest rating): Retention rate (100%), Anatomic Form (100%), Color Match (86%), Marginal Adaptation (62%), Marginal Discoloration (86%), Polish (79%), and Secondary Caries (100%). Summary: The purpose of this study was to compare the performance of different flowable restoratives in Class I cavities over a 1-year period—specifically, Esthet-X Flow and Tetric Flow (Ivoclar). The study allowed for correlation within subjects due to the design (multiple treatments per subject and/or multiple teeth per patient). Summary (Con’t): After 1 year, it was evident that the marginal discoloration showed a significant deterioration for Tetric Flow, which decreased from 100% Alpha to 86.2% Alpha, while Esthet-X Flow experienced no change over this time period. As regards marginal adaptation, Tetric Flow restorations decreased about 30% over 1 year, while the Esthet-X Flow restorations only decreased about 7% for the same time period. The wear for both products over the 1 year time period was approximately 20 microns. The Esthet-X Flow handled well with good, in fact surprising, clinical results.

Prime and Bond ® NT ™ & Esthet-X ® Flow Class I, III, and Lining Material: Prime and Bond® NT™ and Esthet-X® Flow Title: Clinical evaluation of a flowable composite resin Principle Investigator: Dr. Mark A. Latta Type of Restorations: Class V and Class I, III, & Lining for posterior composites 1-year Results: Class I (4 Patients, 6 Restorations), III (7 Patients, 9 Restorations), Lining (4 Patients, 4 Restorations): (% alpha— highest rating): Retention rate (100%), Sensitivity (100%), Marginal Adaptation (80%), Marginal Discoloration (80%), and Secondary Caries (100%). Summary: The results indicated that the Esthet-X Flow material used with Prime and Bond NT is color stable and produces well adapted margins. No significant degrading of the surface polish was observed after one year of clinical service for all restorations. 19 restorations, 1-year results

Prime and Bond ® NT ™ & Esthet-X ® Flow Class V Material: Prime and Bond® NT™ and Esthet-X® Flow Title: Clinical evaluation of a flowable composite resin Principle Investigator: Dr. Mark A. Latta Type of Restorations: Class V and Class I, III, & Lining for posterior composites 1-year Results: Class V: 28 Patients, 46 Restorations (% alpha—highest rating): Retention rate (98%), Sensitivity (100%), Marginal Adaptation (85%), Marginal Discoloration (87%), and Secondary Caries (100%).
