16 16 Duty of the Board Members To have the responsibility and power to administer, coordinate, and enforce the provisions of the statutes without limitation to such power, duties, and authorities as it may be granted by its status.

17 17 Becoming Authorized as an APRN In order to become authorized to practice as an Advanced Practice nurse in Massachusetts, you must: Have a current MA RN licenseHave a current MA RN license Graduate from a Board recognized education program whose objective is preparation for the specific APRN role;Graduate from a Board recognized education program whose objective is preparation for the specific APRN role; Attain and maintain certification from a Board-approved accrediting body;Attain and maintain certification from a Board-approved accrediting body; Provide proof satisfactory to the Board of compliance with the Good Moral Character requirement as stated in Massachusetts law; andProvide proof satisfactory to the Board of compliance with the Good Moral Character requirement as stated in Massachusetts law; and Pay all required fees.Pay all required fees.
