Introduction/How It Works The “Zero to Hero” blogging project is hosted by WordPress.com The blog you set up for this project is an educational/academic blog. If you feel you want to create a personal blog and apply the steps we use for your academic one to make your own better, you are more than welcome to. Yes there are guidelines If you can’t say it in front of your grandma, then you can’t say it on your blog (unless it’s your personal blog then feel free to). Yes you will be graded The people you will be paired in groups with may or may not be from your class Any other questions?
5
Day 1s Introduce your blog the way you introduce yourself to a new person. What are you about? Why are you here? Who do you hope to connect with (besides your classmates)? What topics are you most interested in? What would you like to explore outside of this class?
6
Titles and Taglines and Widgets Why have a good title? BBecause boring titles mean boring context Why make your tagline catchy? BBecause you want people to know they can expect great things from your blog What’s a widget? AA widget adds content and other features to your sidebar.
