3. Introduction My group researched the San Francisco earthquake of 1989. In the catastrophic research, there was a historian who researched the history of San Francisco. There was also a geologist who researched what happened during this affect. There was an American Red Cross person who researched how to get a survival kit ready for when a future event happens like this. Lastly, there was an engineer who researched new technology that could be used, and also found technology that was used to be kept safe. All these roles were very important to the S.O.S.

4. S.O.S American Red Cross As the American Red Cross person, I researched how to get a survival kit ready for when another earthquake hits like the San Francisco one in 1989. In order to get a survival kit ready, you will need to have a bag in close reach of food, water, blankets, and extra clothes. This survival kit should be in close reach so everyone in your house will know where it is. Some suggestions made in order to survive is to hold onto a big piece of furniture in the house, stay away from windows, or stay flat against a flat wall with nothing hanging over it and take cover with something over yourselves. If you follow these simple rules, you can survive an earthquake like the one in San Francisco that killed 63 people and over thousands injured.
