How long does it take to make your videos? Short Answer #1: Do you mean how much time does it take to go from concept to YouTube? It varies from a couple weeks to several months, although I’ve made some videos in less than a day. Most of the time lag comes from the script writing process—each draft has to pass through several rounds of back and forth editing by busy attorneys. If you can start the script writing process with a plain language publication, this time goes down considerably. Short Answer #2: Or did you mean how many hours it takes to produce a video? Our average for the year is about 4.5 hours of work* for every minute of video time posted on our YouTube channel (but we’re getting faster). Also, some styles of videos take much longer to finish than others. How long to go from concept to YouTube? From a couple weeks to several months. But sometimes just a day or so! How many hours of work? About 4.5 hours for every minute of finished video. But we’re getting faster!
