History DreamWorks film studio began in California, 1994 Founded by Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and David Geffen The company was financially backed by the three founders & the co- founder of Microsoft, Paul Allen which contributed $500. million dollars In 2004, DreamWorks animation department split away from the main company becoming “DreamWorks Animation, Inc.” Katzenberg became CEO of DreamWorks
