Philosophy of Education ISLLC Standard II I believe that every child should have a safe, caring, stimulating environment in which they are expected to reach their full potential. It is my desire to help students reach that potential by providing an environment in which they are not afraid to take risks and be challenged. Teachers should focus on student learning, and every student should be expected to succeed..

School Vision ISLLC Standard I My vision is for teachers to learn to collaborate and not be isolated. I would like to encourage professional learning communities where teachers can work towards a common goal.
4
Goals One goal is for the school to have balanced assessment practices- to ensure teachers were well trained in formative and summative assessments and how a balanced assessment approach would greatly benefit students. Another goal is to incorporate a more hands on approach to science classes. Every science class should be a discovery approach to learning.
5
Personality Strengths I would be an excellent choice for this position because I am a collaborator, I am well educated in curriculum and assessment practices in both math and science, and the language arts, and I believe in superior education for all students.

Achievements I have been nominated for TCPS teacher of the year four times. I am having a unit published in Harvey Silver’s book, “Understanding Curriculum Design.” I am being published in Rick Stiggens new addition of CASL, the math version. I completed a Master Teacher program through the University of Kentucky, AMSP
