2 Define Goals Start with the Problem Definition What are you missing most in your life? –Personal time –Family Time –Spiritual Time –Professional Goals –Career Growth Write down your problem on paper

3 Know your current status % of time now % of time you want Personal Time Family Time Work Time Spiritual Time Leisure Time

4 Refine your Goals Makes your Goals SMART –S – Specific –M – Measurable –A - Achievable –R - Realistic –T - Time Bound Review your goals with important people in your life Revise/Correct based on feedback

5 Identify Obstacles What are the obstacles to your goals? Identify 10 things you need to change so that you are working towards your goals Resolve to take action Write them down next to your goals

6 Find Inspiration It is easier to get distracted by –Daily problems –Constant Excuses Identify what motivates you Fill your day with motivating things Staying on track to achieve Goals is not easy task.

7 Make Incremental Progress Set realistic goals Make slow and steady improvement Reward yourself for small improvements Small progress feeds bigger progress Stay on track. Be consistent Stay focused on goals Don’t stray from the goals

8 Lists Make lists of things of odd things that tend to stray you from your goals. There are small things which we want but are not related to any major goals Do them at next opportunity and get them out of your way

9 Milestones Identify milestones achieved in your life to date List milestones you are looking forward to Milestones are not equivalent of goals. These are once in a life time events that change course of your life.

10 What are you waiting for? We hold off working towards the goals because we are waiting for … I will get to it after I achieve …. There is never a perfect time. Don’t wait too long before the goal becomes redundant

11 Self Responsibility Take responsibility for your life Only you are responsible for your goals Only you can achieve your goals No else cares Your success is in your hands Achieve the life you want

12 Do it NOW We have lost precious time in achieving success and reaching our goals Get started NOW Do it NOW
