3. 1960 S Edmund Skellings’ first book, Duels and Duets, contained vinyl recordings of the young poet reciting his poetry.

4. 1960 S Edmund Skellings performed poetry with electronic amplification in his microphone line.

5. 1970 S Edmund Skellings’ American Poetry Trilogy covered three great themes: Heart Attacks (1976) explores man and science. Face Value (1977) concerns man and mankind. Showing My Age (1978) depicts man and society.

6. 1980 S In 1980, Governor Bob Graham appointed Edmund Skellings Poet Laureate of Florida.

7. 1980 S Edmund Skellings turned his attention to the emerging technology and gained a reputation as a computer pioneer. He used a color monitor to highlight poetic elements such as meter and rhyme in matching colors.

8. 1980 S IBM published the Electric Poet authoring system based upon Skellings’ patented teaching system.

9. 1980 S Skellings designed a modern information system with electronic mail for the Florida Legislature.

10. 1980 S Living Proof (1985) celebrates creative moments in art, science, and daily life.
