Establish Four Causes of/Reasons for the Conflict. ** Evaluate factors causing the conflict from social science perspectives. Once you determine your four perspective, use the following four slides to explain your research. **Perspectives and definitions: geographic —relating to the earth and its features and the distribution of life on the earth. political —relating to the structure or affairs of government, politics, or the state. economic —relating to the production, development, and management of material wealth. cultural —relating to socially transmitted behavior patterns, arts, beliefs, institutions, and all other products of human work and thought. sociological —relating to the study of human social behavior, esp. the study of the origins, organization, institutions, and development of human society. psychological —relating to or arising from the mind or emotions.

Steps to Developing a Thesis Statement 1.Select a general topic 2.Narrow your subject 3.Select a working thesis 4.Turn it into a question 5.Refine your final thesis statement—after you have a good working knowledge of your subject. (See slide #15 for an online thesis builder) **After you determine four causes of your conflict, develop a thesis statement explaining what you believe is the most important cause (giving evidence).
