3. First Taste The baby’s first taste should be something sweet! The babies oldest relative may chew a date and rub the juice along the baby’s gums or place a tiny piece of sugar or honey on the tongue. 4. Aquiqah Seven days after the birth of the baby the Aquiqah ceremony takes place. This will often be a ceremony followed by a celebration party.
