Tribes of Utah We will be studying the following during the unit: – Identify prehistoric and historic Native American Indian groups. – How does the environment (weather, landforms, wildlife and plant regions) impact each tribe’s food, housing, and traditions? – What are cultural traditions within each tribe? (Spiritual, artistic, architectural, and oral traditions of Utah's Native American Indians; e.g., languages, storytelling, pottery, basketry, weaving, beadwork, and dwellings.) – How has Native American Indian heritage influenced Utah today?
