1:World FAQ 1.Can students opt out from using a device (tablet or chromebook)? No, like a textbook a student cannot opt out of using a device. Students instructional materials will be delivered digitally on the devices. 2.What happens if the student loses or damages the device? Like a textbook, parents will be responsible for lost or damaged devices. However, affordable insurance options will be available to cover theft or damages.

1:World FAQ Cont... 3.How many hours will students be required to use this device at home? Device use at home will vary based on age range and will be linked to the average amount of homework time assigned. Students should have breaks to rest eyes, practice good posture, and wear prescribed eyewear as necessary. 4.Will the devices be equipped with Wi-Fi for at home use? No, the devices (Chromebooks and Tablets) will not be equipped with broadband Internet for at home access. The digital instructional materials and Google core applications (docs, slides, and sheets) will be accessible “offline” without Internet access.
