3. Typeface/Font Typeface A collection of all the characteristics of a single type design. Named after the designer or after the location where the design was created. 3 categories of typefaces (1) Serif typefaces Have lines or curves extending from the ends of the letters. (2)Sans Serif typefaces Have straight-edges (3)Script typefaces Resembles handwriting or hand-printing. Decorative or display typefaces consist of symbols or designs. The words Typeface and Font are used interchangeably, but they are different.
