4 About the Department Department of Information and Communication Traffic (hereinafter: the Department) is one of the departments at the Traffic division of Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb Chairs: – Chair of Information Communication Systems and Networks – Chair of Information Communication Systems and Services Management – Chair of Telecommunication Traffic Theory

6 Mission The Department is scientific-educational and research-developmental organizational unit of the Faculty of Transport and Traffic sciences, University of Zagreb Producing, transmitting and applying knowledge in the field of Information Communication Traffic and related technologies

7 Vision The Department aspires to become a regional scientific-research and research- developmental center of excellence in the field of Information Communication Traffic and related technologies, integrated into the European network of similar organizations.

11 Research activity (continued) The scientific papers examine the area of: – Information Communication System modelling and their application in the Traffic System Environment – Simulations in traffic – Security and protection of Information Communication System – Information Communication System forensic analysis – Designing and developing new communication services and software modules – e-learning in the field of traffic technology – Possible application of ICT as assistive technologies for inclusion of people with disabilities, etc.

12 Professional projects In the professional work of the Department and related laboratories, many business activity segments are emphasized: – Expert opinions – Consulting and development of projects in the field of Information Communication Traffic – Expertise (in collaboration with the Department of Traffic Accident Expertise, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences) – Development of application systems – Security and protection of Information Communication System

Dragan Perković, Ph.D. – Graduated at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences1995th, 2003. defended masters and 2005. doctoral dissertation, "A model of distribution of information to users of the transport system.“ – He is author or coauthor of 52 scientific papers in journals and proceedings of international conferences, and 5 chapters in international scientific books. – He is a full member of TM Forum, IEEE, DAAAM International and SDIWC.

16 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Full professor Slavko Šarić, Ph.D. – Since 1985. was employed at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences where he in 2002. was chosen to the academic rank of full professor (second choice) for the scientific field of Traffic and Transport technology in the field of Engineering. – The Croatian Government on 18.10. 2001 appointed him a member of the Council of the Croatian National Institute of Telecommunications (Telecommunications Agency). – He has published more than 160 papers (research papers, papers, studies, books and scripts).

Štefica Mrvelj, Ph.D. – Since 1992. was employed at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences. – In his capacity as external associate of the 2006th participates in teaching two courses at the Faculty of Science, Department of Physics. – Her scientific research activity is carried out in a scientific field of Technical sciences, scientific field of Traffic and Transportation Technology.

18 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Marko Periša, Ph.D. – Since 2005 he has been employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences where he participates in undergraduate, graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of information and communication traffic in the Department of Information and Communication Traffic. – He is an active collaborator and researcher in the field of Assistive Technology for people with disabilities, e-bussiness, web Technology and Traffic simulation.

19 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Ivan Grgurević, B.Eng. – Since 2005 he has been employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences where he participates in undergraduate, graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of information and communication traffic in the Department of Information and Communication Traffic. – He is active through a number of committees on the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences: Board for International Cooperation and Projects (2005-2009) – Member of Organizing Committee of the International Conference Ports and Waterways – POWA – He is an active collaborator, researcher and measure leader under the title: Measure 4.4., "Mobility management for large institutions" and evaluator at the international FP7 project CIVITAS ELAN (Mobilizing citizens for vital cities), funding: EU, since 2008 to 2012. – He participated in the work of several scientific projects and research & development studies

20 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Vladimir Remenar, B.Eng. – Since 2007 he has been employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences where he participates in undergraduate, graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of information and communication traffic in the Department of Information and Communication Traffic. – He is an active collaborator and researcher in the field of Safety, projecting and forensic analysis of information and communication systems. – He is the member of TM forum, ISACA, Cellebrite certificate

21 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Ivan Jovović, B.Eng. – Since 2009 he has been employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences where he participates in undergraduate, graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of information and communication traffic in the Department of Information and Communication Traffic. – He is an active collaborator and researcher in the field of location based services, global navigation satellite system, Queuing systems and telematics system maintenance. – CISCO CCNA Exploration: Network Fundamentals, LAN Switching and Wireless, Routing Protocols and Concepts, Accessing the WAN

22 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Ivan Forenbacher, B.Eng. – Since 2010 he has been employed as an assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences where he participates in undergraduate, graduate and undergraduate teaching in the field of information and communication traffic in the Department of Information and Communication Traffic. – Area of scientific interest and research are telecommunication, related services, networks and services optimization, simulation modelling and network architecture. – CISCO CCNA Exploration: Network Fundamentals, LAN Switching and Wireless, Routing Protocols and Concepts, Accessing the WAN

23 Teaching assistants and Research assistants Siniša Husnjak, mag. ing. traff. – In 2011 he was employed as a Research Assistant at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering at University in Zagreb. – In addition to working on his project "Environmental parameters impact on the development of infrastructure and transportation systems", he is also involved with teaching at the undergraduate studies.
